This site will help collect and show the temperatures of Apple Macintosh computers using the new processors by Intel. All new computers that haven't faced the trail of time will have problems and issues that can make users mad and furious. As with the new MacBook Pro machines where were, and still are, problems with heat dissipation. After scouting forums and help sites for information about what temperatures I can expect on a new MacBook, but that turned out to be harder and more scattered than I first imagined. That's the main motive behind this site and it didn't take too long to setup as I had the base code handy from another site. -

Comments:
This is the temp of the repaired mbp , took 20 mins from opening to see that it was hotter than before (which was why it needed a repair because the heat damaged it - screen colours had too much blue)

Apple replaced logic board, HD and top case.

The fans only come on in the hardware test, and don't seem to blast air out of the case like the powerbook. After watching a dvd (CPU 15% ) for 1/2 an hour made it very hot. One fan started mooing. The mbp also stopped resuming after sleep, wouldn't boot (too hot) and a 4/sns/1/40000000:tmop error in hardware test. All patches / updates were applied.

After having an apple qualified tech look at it to say it 2 was too hot I was told there is no repair option, a new one would have the same issues, I had a refund.

Cpu idle was 89C after reaching 100C, 70C when cool.

Case too hot to touch above function keys... it could have melted the lcd panel. Hot all the way down to the front of the case, track pad uncomfortable to touch. Just using battery did not seem to make any difference. It melted the desk surface where it had been so it has a shiny spot where it has been.
